Saving the Store
I was alarmed when I saw a "help save an indie bookstore!" message regarding a darling bookstore in Northeast Ohio. Alarmed because I love all indie bookstores, but my heart goes out to Cleveland-area bookstores in particular. Because I know them. And I can't bear to see them in trouble. So I clicked on the link.
Evening at Beehive Books
I meant to put this up last week, that I had such a good time at Beehive Books. As far as indie bookstores go, Beehive is a relatively new one.
Selling Books: Indie Stores vs. Online Distributors
It's an interesting thing, selling a book. Especially when you 1) have never sold one before and 2) are a relative nobody. Actually, there's nothing relative about it. To anyone but my friends and family (who have for the most part already bought copies), I am a nobody.
