I saw Train earlier this month, one of those really great concerts you end up LOVING. What surprised me was how much hearing those songs brought me back. Chalk one more up for nostalgia.

It's gotten to the point where I don't watch the news anymore. I can't. I won't. It depresses me, frightens me, maddens me. The downside is that I rarely know what's going on in the world, but sometimes this seems like the better alternative.

We've all read them. Books that literally seem to change the game of the way books are usually written. Or what they're written about. The Hunger Games comes to mind, only because I don't know if I've ever been more unable to put a book down.

I was thinking yesterday about a quote I heard years ago about how good writing should make you feel like your head has been cut off.
